白竹村的村名由旧地名「白狗洞」与「丝竹洋」各取一字组合而成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国前，白竹村属阳山乡；建国初划归第三区。1958年建队，隶属海峯公社，后并入陈岱公社；1961年改属大埔公社。[1]

1967年划入常山华侨农场。建队时称白竹大队，1984年改为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

「2023年福建省卫生村」称号于2024年1月授予白竹村。[1]
