村名截取「高地」与「田坪」两个主要自然村的首字拼合而成。[1]

沿革[edit]

1966年组成高田大队，1984年改为高田村。[1]

生产[edit]

村民种水稻、枇杷、菠萝、青枣，也外出务工，农民人均收入8310元。村内有凤竹水电站，以及蜈蜞塘水库。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

葛布山风景区和格木保护区位于村域内，另有陈元光的原葬处、龙墓山的崖刻，以及双峰岩的碑刻，都是本地的历史遗迹。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，本村被确定为「2021年度福建省一村一品示范村」，产品为菠萝。[1]

2023年2月，高田村入选福建省第三批「高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]
