山美村是白水镇的行政村，与西凤、郊边、金鳌、崎岎等村相邻。村名取自新中国成立前山美与三保同属一个保，新中国成立后合并为一村。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地分属漳浦县官任区的山美保与三保保，新中国成立初属漳浦县第三区；1957年划归海澄县第五区，其中设有山美乡。[3]

1959年归浮宫公社，设山美大队；1960年并县后为白水公社的山美大队。1984年起称山美村，1993年龙海改市后改称龙海市白水镇山美村委会。[3]

2022年12月，村获评「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以养猪、种植苗木和养虾为主，养猪业是主要产业。[1]
