山美村是高州市山美街道所辖的行政村，在广东省茂名市。[1]村名的来历是：该村建于山的尾部，原叫山尾，后谐音改作山美。
历史沿革[edit]
1957年，该地划回附城乡；1958年公社化时成为山美公社的一部分，1960年底划入环城公社，分设秧地坡、山美两个大队，1962年体制下放后两队合并，名称仍为山美大队。此后建制几经更名：1983年山美乡，1986年山美农村管理区，1999年起为山美村民委员会。[1]
2019年9月，山美村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2026年3月，被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
