白水村位于白水镇镇区，是白水镇政府所在地，辖圩内、过巷两个自然村。村名与镇名同源，因夫妻船俗称「白水婆」避难到此、建村定居而来。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地已有白水镇之名，属第二区。新中国成立初期划入第五区白水镇，1956年改属城关区白水镇。[3]

1959年2月，它成为浮宫公社的白水大队，1960年随两县合并归龙海县。1961年5月，村中分出的一部分组成了白水镇居民委员会，即今白水社区。1984年起称白水镇白水村，1993年改为白水村委会。[3]

2022年12月，村获评「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
