白水社区是白水镇的居民委员会，位于镇中心区，与镇内各村相邻。社区名称与白水镇相同，源于夫妻船俗称的「白水婆」在此避难并定居。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地属海澄县白水镇，下设果市、南市、米市、西街四个保。新中国成立后并入海澄县第五区，1959年划归浮宫公社，设白水大队。[3]

1961年5月，白水村分出一部分，组建白水镇居民委员会。1984年，该会定名为白水社区居委会；1993年龙海改市，随之隶属龙海市白水镇。[3]

2022年12月，社区获福建省爱国卫生运动委员会评定，为「2022年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
