后塘社区位于天宝镇，以种植食用菌为主要的收入来源，建筑工程与养猪也占有相当比重。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明成化年间（1465至1487年）有先人迁居此处。1961年归入天宝公社后塘大队，1980年时仍是天宝公社的一部分，1984年划入天宝镇。2020年12月18日，村委会改为后塘社区居民委员会。[2]

经济[edit]

村中种食用菌已有40多年。60至80年代以种蘑菇为主，90年代改种白背毛木耳，2000年起栽种猪肚菇。村里将食用菌列为「一村一品」重点发展。[1]

文化[edit]

2024年1月，社区被命名为「2023年福建省卫生社区」。[2]
