东门村位于金淘镇中部，别名忠孝境。村名沿用村民祖籍泉州东门之名，村中以谢姓居多。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

元、明、清三代，东门属南安十四都，民国时为东门保。新中国成立初归莲坑乡。1958年间此地称东星大队；到1980年，因与官桥的一个同名大队重复，才恢复东门之名，1984年设东门村委会。[1]

2024年1月，东门村上榜「2023年度南安市和谐村（社区）」名单。[1]

人口民族[edit]

村民均为谢姓。据东门谢氏族谱，其先人在元末明初已迁居于此。[2]

地理环境[edit]

村庄位于高盖山南麓的淘溪河谷平原上，四周青山环绕。境内有省道307线穿过，金码公路在此与其衔接。[2][3]

经济[edit]

村中盛产柑橘、龙眼与茶叶，草席编织也是村中传统。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内留有东门寨、霞霖宫、莲花祖祠、石狮祖祠等古建筑，村中还有古井。[2]
