沙溪村隶属翔云镇，位于镇政府驻地南面约13公里，东与英都镇接壤，南面与同安县相接。全村由顶沙溪与下沙溪两个自然村组成。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

早年村境内有一条河流，河中多沙砾，村民沿溪畔筑居，故称沙溪。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

沙溪早先属二十八都，民国时归入东田乡的东联保。解放初的1949年，它叫翔云乡沙溪村；1958年公社化后改称沙溪大队，1984年设翔云乡沙溪村委会。博雅地名网分别记为1991年与1994年改称翔云镇沙溪村委会。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村委会驻下沙溪，聚落在石蛇山北麓的丘陵地上。全村分为8个村民小组，总面积约8.5平方千米。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

村民265户、1169人。山地7992亩、耕地775亩；以水稻、甘薯为主要作物，另有岩葱、菱白。[1]

林果有柿树、杉木、杂木、松木、毛竹和酸笋。村内有小学、卫生所各1所，水库2座，水电站1座，水泥路通往仑英、安南公路。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村境内有云顶山。顶沙溪水尾的猴枥古树，被南安市定为「名木古树」。[1]

花洋头的杜鹃花、尾湖山的蝙蝠洞、岩湖半山腰的地下洞，以及村中小溪沿途形成的天然瀑布，都是村境内的自然景致。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，村庄上榜2023年度南安市「和谐村（社区）」名单；同年10月，村庄入选泉州市级「一村一品」专业村（2024年度名单），产业以蔬菜为主。[1]
