马山村位于英林镇北部，距镇区约1.5公里，东、北与龙湖镇相邻，西临永和镇，南与陈山村相邻。村名来历：古时住地之山形如马鞍，故名马山。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明、清属十二都，1944年（民国33年）隶康乐乡瑶内保。建国后先属东石的英社，继而归东石公社；1961年划为英林公社的马山大队，1984年起称英林镇马山村委会。[1]

姓氏宗族[edit]

村民以林、洪、张、刘四姓为主，其中林姓最多。林姓后裔分居香港、澳门、菲律宾、澳大利亚和台湾等地。[2]
