石马村位于惠安县紫山镇，村名来自村旁一块形似马的岩石。1999年，村子随紫山镇设立而划入紫山镇。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

村子建在一块形似马的岩石旁，因此得名石马。[1]

中华人民共和国成立初期，此地属民群乡。1958年“大跃进”时期，石马村与林口村合称杏林大队，隶属东红公社。1964年，村子从杏林生产大队分出，另设南埔生产大队。[1]

直到1984年，黄塘乡才为村子设立村委会，即石马村民委员会。1986年村子归黄塘乡，1995年改属黄塘镇。1999年8月，石马村从黄塘镇分出，隶属新设立的紫山镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，石马村被命名为「惠安县2023年度平安村（社区）」。[1]
