西坑村位于大田县梅山镇西北部，东面与郭井村相接，北面邻接文江镇的民主村。[1]

村子位于梅山西部的一条沟谷中，故取名西坑。[1]

村子分西坑、宁坑、郑山三个自然村，平均海拔五百多米，四面皆山。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代此地属大田县四十八都。民国时期先属第二区，1941年划入龙漈乡，1950年2月起归第五区。[1]

1958年起隶梅山人民公社；1984年设为梅山乡西坑村村民委员会；2018年梅山乡改设为镇后，村委会随之更名为梅山镇西坑村村民委员会。[1]

产业[edit]

村民以种植业为主，作物有毛竹、芦柑、木薯，此外还产茶叶和生姜。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，西坑村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，同时被确定为「2021—2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
