马山村是石牌镇东部的行政村。东与屏山乡玉屏村相邻，南与均溪镇金领接壤，西与老厝村交界，北与盖山村相连。村域由上马山、下马山、观音座3个自然村组成。[1][2]

村子位于大仙峰自然保护区东麓，海拔在500至1400米之间，植被茂密，适合发展特色农业。[2]

地名由来[edit]

相传骏马进入此地山林后便不见踪影，村名由此而来。一带山脉形状像奔马，山高林密，民居分散。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地旧属坊都。民国29年属大田第一区，1950年设马山乡，隶大田第六区。此后相继划入均溪公社（1958年）与城关公社（1963年），1970年成为红湖公社的马山大队。[1]

1984年建乡时改称石牌乡马山村村民委员会，1997年撤乡设镇后称石牌镇马山村村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

村内主要种植毛竹、高山茶与枇杷。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，马山村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，同月还被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
