高坪村在中沙乡的东北面。村名的来历：村庄原名树林甲，因四周都是树林，又地处深山峡谷而得名；后来以坑谷中一块平坦的场地为名，改称高坪[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村页记为唐末建村，明清时期属永丰里，称高坪村[1]；概况页则说村落已有近五百年历史，两说并存[2]。民国时期属永丰乡的一个保。1958年成为中沙公社的高坪大队，1966年改称解放大队，1974年复名高坪大队，1984年改为高坪村民委员会[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，高坪村获得2023年度三明市达标「六无」村（社区）的称号，同月又列入2021至2023年三明市达标「六无」村（社区）名单[1]。
