沙溪村是明溪县沙溪乡下辖的行政村，村名取自渔塘溪流经本地一段的溪名“沙溪”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

现名沙溪村，1987年起称沙溪村委会，名称沿用至今。在此之前，1983年7月改为乡级的沙溪乡；1964年明溪县恢复建制后，这里为沙溪公社沙溪大队；1958年则是岩前公社下属的沙溪大队。[2]

20世纪50年代初期，本地经历了二区、夏阳溪口乡等名称变动，民国时期设为二区，1941年隶属溪口乡。明清时期这一带属归化县归下里十四都。[2]

沙溪村是革命老区基点村。[3]
