石马村位于仙游县东部，木兰溪下游北侧，距仙游县城约12公里，辖5个自然村。村名来自境内一块形如马的大石。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村内有一块大石，形状似马，村因此得名石马。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年代后期至1960年代初，此地曾是原十三区的所在地，并为石马人民公社（今盖尾镇）的驻地。1958年归盖尾公社，1984年改设石马村民委员会，隶属盖尾乡。[1][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

木兰溪上的石马桥桥身微弯，共十八个桥墩，形似一条蜈蚣。据称石马桥建于宋代嘉定年间，为仙游县第一批县级文物保护单位。[1][4]
