东门社区位于仙游鲤城街道东部，因位于县城东城墙门外、俗称县城东大门而得名。[1]

辖区东面与宝峰社区相邻，西侧沿着东大路，南侧靠近木兰溪，北侧是万福村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国年间，此地分为元春、朝阳2个保。新中国成立初，名为东河街；因境内的镇溪之塔，又被叫作明塔村。1960年改用东门村之名，划归城东乡人民政府。[1]

2002年11月，因仙游县调整区划，此处设立东门社区居民委员会，归鲤城街道办事处管辖。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

东门肖氏民居位于双桥村80号，为仙游县一般不可移动文物点。[2]

东门迎春亭位于东门街庙里巷，为「仙游县第五（一期）批县级文物保护单位」。[2]

文化[edit]

2024年12月，东门社区列入「2024年福建省儿童友好社区」名单。[1]
