深坑村是福建省福州市罗源县中房镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的西面，距镇中心约23公里，离城关约42公里。由于周边村落距镇中心与县城都较远，附近村落的居民买卖、办事多以本村为中心。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村子原名“深源”，取小溪发源于深山之意，明代改称深坑。[1]

人口与姓氏[edit]

村中以魏、陈两姓为主。两姓先祖约二百多年前先后迁居此地，把原来荒芜的山沟建成了村落。[2]

风貌[edit]

村落四面环山，青松翠柏四季常青，竹林摇曳，青瓦木楼错落其间。村对面的骏马峰形如骏马奔驰，月夜时只见轮廓，远望格外逼真。[2]

经济[edit]

村中山地居多，竹木资源丰富，已办起一家竹制品加工厂，生产竹席、竹枕、竹篮等。农业以水稻、甘薯为主，木材以松、杉和常绿阔叶树为主。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期村地属化一里；民国时分属四区、三区，并入丰深乡。1950年设深坑乡，划入二区；1952年改归八区，1955年转入中房区。[1]

1958年体制变动，村地成为深坑大队，隶属中房公社。1961年又设区，划入中房区深坑公社；1965年撤区并社，仍归中房公社。1984年成为村委会，隶属中房乡。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2014年11月，村列入第三批中国传统村落名录。2021年11月，村获福建省卫生村称号（2021年度）。2021年4月，村因2020年度乡村振兴成绩突出受到表彰。[1]

2022年10月，村被认定为福建省第二批乡村治理示范村镇。2024年6月，村入选福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村名单。2020年6月，村入选罗源县第四轮第一批平安村（社区），评定年度为2019年。[1]
