东门社区是凤山镇的居民社区，居民多住在镇区东部，靠近城关四座城门中的东门，社区因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明至清末此地属东隅里。1950年设二街人民政府，归第一区；1952年改属第六区，1955年隶属城关镇。1958年改称二街居委会，「文革」期间称二街革委会，1983年恢复居委会，1984年改称东门居委会。[1]

东区居委会是2003年4月从东门居委会分出的，分界线为东环路东侧。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

府前街上的天后宫，原建在罗源南陈桥头，乾隆五年（1740年）迁到现址，三十年后又增建梳妆楼。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年8月入列罗源县第四轮第二批（2020年）「平安村（社区）」名单；东门社区于2022年12月获「2022年福建省卫生社区」称号，授予方为福建省爱国卫生运动委员会。[1]
