西坑村位于福建省福州市闽侯县廷坪乡境内，村前有溪坑环绕，村名由溪坑的谐音而来。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村旁溪坑绕村而过，形状如金龟入洞，又似玉带环腰，因取“溪坑”的谐音改称西坑。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

公社化时期此地为西坑管理区；1969年设大队，1984年改由村民委员会管理。[1]

荣誉[edit]

西坑村于2021年11月获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号，命名单位是福建省爱卫办。[1]

2023年12月，西坑村被认定为「福州市2023年市级一村一品专业村」，主导产业为红薯。[1]
