新厝村位于漳港街道东南部沿海，东侧临海，北面是百户村，南面连着万沙村与沙尾村，两港线从村中穿过。[1]

新厝村于2021年11月获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

村名的来历是：祖先从百户一带迁出后，各家都另建新屋，因而得名新厝。[1]

旧时此地属十四都岱境内的百户一带，后从中分出单独设村，1985年设立新厝村委会，沿用至今。[1]
