东盛村在亭江镇境内，距104国道约1.5公里，闽白公路从村中经过，是亭江镇的一个行政村。[1]

村名来自村东的山丘与村前的良田，寓意旺盛繁荣。该村历史上曾先后归属闽安镇、亭江公社等，1995年11月起隶属马尾区亭江镇。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

博雅地名网称，村东有几座山丘，村前铺展着成片良田，村子依山傍水，有旺盛繁荣之象，于是取名东盛。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代，此地归闽安镇管辖。1950年，它属闽安镇马尾第三区。1956年，村子并入亭江公社的东盛初级社，1958年改编为闽安高级社下的东盛中队。1963年起，村子归闽安公社管理，成为东盛大队；1971年改由福州市马江区的亭江公社领导，1975年又划归郊区亭江公社。1984年，村子改称亭江乡东盛村；1988年起称亭江镇东盛村，1995年11月转归马尾区。[2]

村情[edit]

博雅地名网载，村中有235户，共735人，居民以老年人为主，年轻人多在海外，该页未注统计年份。村子的财政收入据称主要来自外汇，村民多从事养殖与果树种植。[1]

村中设有敬老院、文化娱乐活动中心、公园与医疗所。[1]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予东盛村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
