寨塘村是新圩镇所辖行政村，旧时属观丰乡。[1]
名称与沿革[edit]
1960年，寨背和大鱼塘两处并为一个大队，从两个名字中各取一字，定名“寨塘”。[1]1989年改管理区，1999年起为村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2017年10月，寨塘村被列入第一批广东省卫生村；2019年9月，又进入「广东省2018年度民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
