历史沿革[edit]
1949年设公梅村，1951年改乡，同年12月，惠阳县第二十一区的区府设在这里。[2] 公梅大队建于1958年，隶高潭公社，合并杨梅水、公磜两个自然村而成。[2] 1984年改称公梅乡，1987年3月起设村委，1989年称管理区，1998年改公梅村委会。[2]
杨梅水还是高潭区苏维埃政府在1928年3月后迁入的地点之一。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2017年10月，公梅村获广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予的第一批广东省卫生村称号。[1]
