历史沿革[edit]
风水上以南为吉，村子坐南朝北立村，名为岗南。[1]
民国属八德乡，中华人民共和国成立后属湖镇乡；1958年10月归新作塘人民公社，1983年11月属湖镇区，1986年设岗南管理区，1999年起称岗南村民委员会。[1]
