清水湾村在封开县都平镇南部，沿贺江两岸分布，山地多，不少村民出行靠渡船[1]。
地名由来与沿革[edit]
解放前归文西乡第八保，解放后立清水乡。1957年末先后办了清水、迪田、官河、古蚕四社，1961年变四个大队，1963年并成一个。莲都公社另有清水大队，重名，所以1980年地名普查时改用驻地清水湾村，叫清水湾管理区；1987年设村委会，依封府〔1987〕16号文[1]。
基本情况[edit]
博雅地名网记：村里有20个村民小组、389户1947人；林地2.1万多亩，内有竹林三千多亩，耕地865亩，水田占650亩；硬底化路虽已到村委会，沿贺江两岸而居的1300余人仍靠渡船出入。2019年9月，村名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」[1]。
