历史沿革[edit]
1950年设乡民会，其后依次是乡政府（1953年）、初级社（1955年）、高级社（1957年）、生产大队（1958年），1987年起为村民委员会[1]。
地理环境[edit]
村北是垢塘村、东坡村，南是大洲社区，西接江口镇台垌，东连东坡村和白垢镇；东安江、县道西线公路过境，距镇政府3公里。村域约10.88平方千米，耕地1473亩，山地15470亩[1]。
人口民族[edit]
10个村民小组，包括班皮、上罗田、下罗田，人口1236人（该页未标年份）[1]。
经济[edit]
村民种稻、经济作物和林果，也有人外出务工，人均年收入5131元，没有村办企业[1]。2020年8月，村里的单枞茶使东畔村入选「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」[1]。

2019年9月，广东省文化和旅游厅将东畔村认定为「首批广东省文化和旅游特色村」；2026年1月，村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。
