历史沿革[edit]
清代这里分为东水村和西水村。怀集县人民政府以怀发〔1998〕20号文批准，1998年11月成立东西村民委员会，名称取自村委会驻地的村名。[1]
经济[edit]
栽种速生桉3000亩，高脂松300亩。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，该村在「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单上；2026年1月，获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
