水南镇圩镇社区是广东省肇庆市高要区水南镇镇政府所在地的社区居委会，辖水南圩的5条街[1]。
地名由来[edit]
清同治年间，水南圩设在大径河、龙源河与社坑河汇合处，初名河口圩；因与三水县的河口重名，就近取水南村的村名作圩名，社区因政府驻地在水南圩而得名[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
居委会在1953年已有工商办事处这一组织形式，1958年成立人民公社时改组为居委会，沿用至今[1][2]。
经济[edit]
据博雅地名网转载的介绍，社区有居民小组2个、389户、1025人，其中361人是机关单位的在职或退休人员；外出务工265人[1]。社区内街道已硬底化，保民路的下水道和街灯得到改造，自来水管网改造，并新建了集贸市场[1]。
