村地势低洼，易遭洪水，新中国成立后村民筑堤围垦，开出千亩良田[2]。村庄之间有一串连绵约3公里的池塘，称“百足珠塘”，塘中产莲藕、莲角和鱼虾[2]。
经济[edit]
有耕地1464亩、鱼塘600多亩、山林500多亩[2]。不少村民外出务工创业，侨居海外的华侨和外出经商者出资修建了篮球场、儿童乐园、路灯和文化小公园[2]。
