全村800多户，耕地仅1000多亩，以山地旱田为主，土质瘦薄；改革开放后村民外出务工经商，形成以建筑业为主的劳动队伍[2]。

外出经商者出资建成自来水塔2座、水井2口，4个村民小组的道路实现硬底化，部分村庄建有文化娱乐中心楼和灯光球场[2]。博崖山年例在正月十七，上博崖在正月十六，下博崖在正月十三[3]。
