茂莲村是广东省湛江市雷州市沈塘镇辖下的行政村，种植珍珠番石榴。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名取自村民委员会驻地茂莲村。[1]1958年设茂莲大队，1984年改为茂莲乡，1987年2月成立茂莲村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年起为茂莲村民委员会。[1]
经济与荣誉[edit]
2020年8月，茂莲村以珍珠番石榴列入首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单。[1]2019年9月，该村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]2021年1月，茂莲村同时被列入湛江市2020年度的「全市先进文明村」和「全市文明村」。[1]2026年1月，又获评广东省「第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
