地名由来[edit]
1964年修建甘村水库，征用了原有的居民住址；1965年以后，村民陆续迁往麻章区的湖光镇，1980年后又有一部分人搬回原址，这里属于甘村水库移民区，村名由此而来[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
1995年1月设移民管理区，隶龙头镇；1999年成立移民村民委员会[1]。到2010年底，村里辖上甘、大氹、陆屋、上小埇四个自然村；2011年初邓屋村民委员会的岑屋埇村划入，此格局沿用至今[1]。
