历史沿革[edit]
虎山最初叫“华山”，立村于清乾隆年间（村史记为乾隆三十年，即1765年），由黄氏族人从邻近的荔山村迁来。后来村民请风水师看地形，说村后的山像一只趴着的老虎，山上还有一块称作“虎眼”的巨石，村名便改为“虎山”。[1]建国初期隶中山县第八区乾东乡；1984年改为虎山乡，隶斗门县五山区公所；1986年设虎山村委会；2002年划入新建的乾务镇。[1]
文化[edit]
装泥鱼是利用泥鱼爱钻泥洞的习性，用特制竹笼诱捕的传统技艺，相传由虎山村民黄元亨父子在清乾隆三十年（1765年）创出，2011年列入第三批国家级非物质文化遗产名录。这项技艺曾是村里九成家庭的主要收入来源，由于滩涂缩减、传人年迈，斗门区如今划出泥鱼生态保护区，把传承基地设在虎山村。[2]
经济[edit]
2022年10月，广东省农业农村厅把虎山认定为「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（青蟹），同月它也进了2022年淘宝村名单。[1]
