历史沿革[edit]
凤凰社区设于2006年，工作站接管原大新南村的6个居民小组：前进、元屋围、北门坳、新村、九巷和氹元。[2][3] 区政府网站2023年12月的介绍称社区属“居改社”的纯社区，建成面积3.2平方千米，总人口61369人，其中户籍约9000人；博雅地名网的旧数据为3.91平方千米、49806人。[1][2]
商贸与交通[edit]
社区商业集中在守珍街和双拥街两条商业街，辖区内有2个农贸市场、2家大型商超和9所幼儿园，登记的“三小”场所2173家。[1] 地铁10号线的双拥街站在2020年8月通车，社区介绍称它是亚洲最长的地铁单体车站。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
社区内有平湖凤凰山国家矿山公园，园中的守真园经过重建。刘铸伯生平展设在守真园内裕昌堂的原址上，于2018年7月26日对外开放；2020年又辟出一条名人爱国爱乡景观线。[1] 社区另有以廉政教育为主题的平湖广场。[1]
荣誉[edit]
社区被评为广东省“六好”平安和谐社区，2013年获广东省卫生村称号；2022年8月又被认定为深圳市第二批绿色（宜居）社区。[1][2]
