据博雅地名网，雷岭社区总面积0.62平方千米，总人口13181人，其中户籍人口5545人，辖内住宅区23个，有睦邻四海公园。[1] 社区在2022年8月进入深圳市第二批绿色（宜居）社区名单。[1] 1995年设立的围仔西居委会在2001年并入雷岭社区，2004年12月又从中分出围仔社区。[2]
当地媒体称，四海公园是蛇口最早的公园，园内立有世纪金牛像。[3]
