历史沿革[edit]
岛因孤悬海中而叫伶仃山，后来为区别于外伶仃岛，在前面加了「内」字。[1][2] 据清嘉庆《新安县志》，岛上有客籍的内伶仃村；据南湾村村民讲述，岛原是无人岛，清中叶惠州淡水的黄氏兄弟迁来建村，后建有黄氏宗祠，其后南海、番禺、中山等地的渔民也上岸定居，岛上形成东湾、南湾两个村落。[1]
内伶仃岛在1950年4月18日获解放。[4] 1952年，因边防需要，岛上63户165名岛民迁往内地，东湾的归蛇口公社安置，南湾的归西乡公社安置；1955年，原东湾村12户50人回迁，成立内伶仃生产队；1979年岛民再次迁往蛇口。[1]
自然保护区[edit]
内伶仃岛与福田红树林于1984年10月建立自然保护区，1988年5月升格为国家级，百度百科记总面积约921.64公顷，岛屿部分面积554公顷。[2]
