当阳村是乐昌市白石镇的行政村，辖地与湖南省宜章县里田乡相邻。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
当阳于1958年建大队，1983年改为乡，1987年称村民委员会，1989年改管理区，1998年恢复村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
博雅地名网的村情记载，村委会辖10个自然村，耕地2184亩（旱地1385亩、水田799亩），林地794.4公顷；有326户、1472人。村里各自然村已通简易公路，但村道尚未全部硬化。当阳是全镇黄烟的主产区，种烟是村民主要的收入来源；该页提到2009年有1079人参加新型农村合作医疗，占全村人口的73%。[1]
2026年的报道说，村内建有食用菌基地，12个标准化大棚，每亩种2万个菌包，估算营业利润约6万元，是白石镇推广菌菇产业的示范点。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，当阳村被列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
