历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立初设横溪乡，1958年设大队，1983年设乡政府，1986年设村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年复称村委会。[1]
经济与名胜[edit]
广东省农业农村厅2020年8月评出首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，横溪村因茶叶入选。[1] 十八里瑶寨风景区以横溪水库为终点。[2] 1931年红七军撤退途中，曾经横溪的龙沟岭进入下湾村，在下湾村和溪头村驻扎两天。[2]
