名称由来[edit]
据博雅地名网，当地山茶冲的茶水色黄，原称“黄茶”；“黄”字笔画多，瑶民便以谐音写作“王茶”。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立初设王茶乡，1958年设大队，1983年设乡政府，1986年设村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年复称村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，王茶村名列「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2018年度）；2024年3月，获评「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
