石岗西村是广东省广州市番禺区大龙街道的行政村，位于市莲路西侧，与罗家村相邻，面积约0.75平方千米（博雅地名网写作1100亩）。[1][2]北宋时形成村落，旧时与石岗东同为一村，合称石岗，又叫毬山；到1958年才单设石岗西大队，村民委员会则在1987年成立。[1][2]村里保存龙舟传统，是番禺传统龙舟「十乡会」的成员之一，现有龙舟6艘。[2]

村名石岗，来自村北山岗和村内石头多。[2]1958年石岗拆成东、西两个大队，西边的叫石岗西大队，1966年起改叫「赤卫大队」，1974年复称石西大队，1987年成立石岗西村民委员会，至今没有改变。[1]百度百科称，村中主要姓氏是胡姓。[2]
