历史沿革[edit]
夏良建村于南宋中期，称夏良。[1]1961年设夏良大队，1984年改称夏良乡，1987年撤乡设村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]20世纪30年代，夏良人在龙归墟的北边增建了一座大川坊，专卖谷米之类农产品，旁边另加十来间铺面，墟市因此扩大约三分之一。[3]1980年代，龙归墟集市嫌小，由夏良村出地、以认股方式兴建新市场，1985年建成龙归农贸市场。[3]
地理环境[edit]
村域平坦，105国道、106国道和市一环路都从村内经过，距广州市区约18公里，距原太和镇驻地约6公里。[1]地铁14号线设夏良站。[1]
经济[edit]
村里利用交通条件发展集体经济，农、工、商并举；设有夏良农业公园（初心田园）一类的农业体验基地，种的有水稻、玉米、瓜果、蔬菜。[1][2]夏良村2020至2022年连续进入淘宝村名单，2023年5月又获广东省爱卫会评定为2022年度广东省卫生村。[1]
文化[edit]
村内的赵祖江公祠，建于清宣统二年（1910年）；2011年5月，白云区将它公布为登记保护文物单位。[2]村里自1997年起每年举办村内篮球赛，到2023年已办24届。[2]
