历史沿革[edit]
居委会于2003年6月成立。[1]
社区概况[edit]
社区绿化面积55000平方米，设有休闲活动区3个、棋牌室2个，另有小学、幼儿园、中学各1所和医疗卫生服务站1间。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
校园所在的五山一带，在清末曾是刘永福黑旗军的驻地，校内至今留有刘永福营盘碉堡遗址和刘义亭。[2] 校园里的西山东路12号楼，是民国时期国立中山大学石牌校区的法学院楼，门前广场有一座1934年修建的青铜日晷。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2022年11月，华工社区被广州市住房和城乡建设局认定为「广州市2022年绿色社区」；2024年11月获评「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]
