石头村是加益镇的一个行政村，城乡分类为镇乡结合区[1]。村中有一块宽50多平方米的巨石，成为村子的地标，村名由此而来[1]。村内的俭堂书院位于加益中心小学内，建于清代，为「第五批罗定市（县）级文物保护单位」[1]。

2021年12月，村获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2022年12月，被命名为「第四批云浮市“民主法治示范村（社区）”」；2024年1月，被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」；2026年1月，村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1958年，石头一带归加益公社的加益营管辖。1959年11月营改为大队，到1961年6月，加益公社辖下共有11个大队，石头即是其中之一。1974年7月，这里依旧保留石头大队。1983年改设石头乡，1986年转为石头村委会，1989年改称石头管理区，1999年又复为石头村民委员会，隶属罗定市加益镇[1]。
