寨脚村建于1563年，初称寨脚，属泷水县；此后陈、莫、邓、罗等姓相继迁入，现有20姓，最大姓李，占25.7%。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

清末属罗定州，民国期间归罗定县第六区。1950年改隶第二区（苹塘区），1953年5月转归第十区（围底区）管辖，1956年11月改归苹塘区。[2]

1958年后归围底公社，1959年另立寨脚大队，1961年改隶华石公社。1983年大队改乡，归华石区管；1986年撤乡，设村委会，隶属华石乡；1989年2月起归华石镇。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

振卿陈公祠位于寨脚村委会岗底然村，为清代建筑，光绪九年癸未（1883年）重修。2011年2月14日，该祠被列入罗定市第四批文物保护单位。[3]

文化[edit]

2019年10月，寨脚村入选「2019年广东省卫生村」名录。[1]

广东省爱卫会于2023年5月把「2022年广东省卫生村」称号颁给寨脚村下辖的十六个自然村。[1]
