新乐村是附城街道下辖的行政村，属城乡结合区。村名最初取“新落”，后因“落”与“乐”同音，改为新乐，沿用至今。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

何氏始祖挺球于明朝时由南海西樵马山迁到此地落户，此后罗、谢、张、王、林、黄、黎、李等姓相继迁入，现有16姓，何姓人数最多。[2]

明末清初设新乐街，属西宁县常静都，后改称新乐村。民国时曾归郁南县第二区榃滨乡、中良乡。1958年改隶罗定，1961年设新乐公社。2003年10月新乐镇撤销，村并入附城街道。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

辑五罗公祠位于村内罗屋寨，清宣统年间（1909－1911年）落成，一路两进，门外两个坊门较具特色，为罗定市文物保护单位。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，本村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
