历史沿革[edit]

1949年至1953年，此地属新兴县第四区公平乡，1954年改属公平区。1958年起设集成公社的莲洞大队，直到1983年11月；此后称集西乡，1989年6月设莲洞管理区，1999年改为莲洞村委会，2004年起归六祖镇，地名沿用至今[1]。
