历史沿革[edit]

1949年10月起此地属新兴第三区，称凤沙乡；1951年改属三区上沙乡，1952年称下沙乡。[1] 1958年2月归凤凰乡人民委员会；同年11月属上沙区，称下沙乡，并属共成公社，为下沙生产大队。[1] 1961年改属上沙公社，仍为下沙生产大队；1983年归上沙区公所，称下沙乡。[1] 1986年11月设太平镇下沙管理区，1999年起为下沙村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，下沙村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
