龙坑村是大坪镇下辖的行政村，曾名龙潭坑，位于山区，距普宁市区约52公里，1986年从塘唇乡析出，自成行政村。[1]

村内保存有1927年以来的革命遗迹，并设有革命烈士纪念碑。[2][3]

革命历史[edit]

1927年起，龙坑村已有革命活动，古大存曾在村中组织革命工作并指挥战斗。1928年春，村中成立农民协会；1929年，陆丰县苏维埃政府设于此村。同年红军第49团进驻，设练兵场与后方医院，练兵场旧址仍然保存。[2]

据记载，从1927年到1949年，村中有姓名可查并被评为革命烈士的有15人，另有30多位因参加革命而牺牲，其中多数因年代久远已不知其姓名。雷公嶂、火凹顶等革命遗迹保存至今。[2][3]

地理与产业[edit]

村内有耕地429亩、山地15000亩，主要种植水稻、甘薯和花生，盛产青梅。村中有碾米加工厂一座，设小学一所与合作医疗站一个。[1]

村内的革命烈士纪念碑于2008年兴建，2018年被命名为爱国主义教育基地，是镇内开展爱国主义教育的场所。[2]
