历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历，据博雅地名网：创村时田地十分贫瘠，故称石田。[1]

清乾隆初年（约1740年前后），黄姓族人来此垦荒，置村定居。[2]

2024年3月，石田村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

2009年底，全村总人口1732人。耕地856亩，其中水田499亩、山地2600亩。村民主要从事农业生产，种植荔枝、香蕉等。[1]
